Abby Lee Miller Diagnosed With Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

It has NOT been a good year for Abby Lee Miller!

First she went to prison for 10 months on fraud charges and now her health has taken a turn for the worst.

Last week the Dance Moms star was hospitalised for a thyroid condition and eventually had to undergo emergency spinal surgery after complaining about back pain for weeks. Her doctor said that if they didn't perform the surgery she was going to die.

Now it turns out that the reality star turned felon actually has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which is a cancer that develops through the lympathic system. Obviously no cancer is good, but if you had to pick one to go through it would be this one. The survival rate is very high however they haven't determined the source or stage of Abby's cancer yet.

Her doctor told People:

"It was not an infection, it was a type of a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma – it's a type of a cancer… We're getting an oncologist involved and we have to figure out what the next steps are as far as chemotherapy or radiation or more spine surgery. Depending on the tumor type, depending on the sensitivity of the tumor – it just depends the type but I feel more than yes, she will undergo chemotherapy or radiation."

Abby is currently living in a halfway house on parole and will be released on May 25. Our prayers are with Abby in this stressful time!
