Jason Hoppy Uses Dennis Shield's Death Against Bethenny Frankel In Custody Case

How low can you go?

Following Dennis Shield's sudden death, like most deaths caused people to be sad and grieving, except for Jason Hoppy who is using his addiction against his ex in their custody case for their daughter. Earlier this year, Bethenny Frankel's requested full custody of their daughter Bryn, who they currently share, so they appeared in court for a hearing.

Jason's lawyer argued Dennis' death forces them to question Bethenny's parental judgement regarding her allowing Dennis around Bryn during the court hearing:

“It was reported that he died of an Oxycodone overdose. Our concern is while his death is very sad this raises serious concerns about Ms. Frankel’s parental judgment,” the lawyer continued, “Considering Mr. Shields’ addiction what does that say about Ms. Frankel’s parenting that she would allow this person to care for her daughter? This doesn’t just constitute a lapse in judgment this was just downright dangerous parenting,”

Love or hate Bethenny, this is literally the definition of evil. Her on-and-off boyfriend (and potenial fiance) died DAYS AGO and now Jason and his creepy ways are trying to use it as ammunition against her in the case. The shady lawyer also tried to use Bethenny getting drunk on The Real Housewives of New York City against her and even tried to claim SHE may have a substance abuse problem:

“She was running around without clothes on and then she passed out and it was said she passed out from mixing Ambien with alcohol. Our concerns are whether Ms. Frankel may have some type of substance abuse problems so we would ask the court to order drug testing of Ms. Frankel to find out whether that’s an issue."

She was probably drunk ONCE in one season but now she has a sustance abuse problem? This is a reach Jason!

While Bethenny allegedly cried only feet away while Jason's lawyer explained this narrative in front of the court and tried to accuse her of having a drinking problem, the judge didn't believe anything he was saying. The judge claimed "Now you’re throwing grenades across the table," after he was previously happy with their custody situation.

The ex-couple are due back in court to determine custody in March.
