Kyle Richards & RHOBH Cast Dragged Into Her Husband's $32 Million Lawsuit
This is getting juicy.
Even though we haven't seen any of the multiple lawsuits on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it looks like the entire cast could potenially be pulled into one of them.
As we've previously reported, Kyle Richards' husband Mauricio Umansky is being sued for $32 million after, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, the seller of the Malibu mansion claims Mauricio sold the home to a man named Mauricio Oberfeld for $32.5 million without informing Teodoro there were higher side-offers and that we was partnering with the buyer. A year later, the two Mauricios sold the home for $69.9 million a year later, at a profit of $37 million.
Teodoro is pulling the Beverly Hills Housewives into the legal battle because they all attended a Great Gatsby party at the home during season 7 while it was still being listed and he is seeking:
“Communications with any of the performed, producers, directors, writers, or any other persons affiliated with the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ television show related to the property or this action."
Teodoro believes cast, producers, writers may have information relevant to his case against Mauricio. During this time his wife Kyle and her costars Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Kim Richards and Eden Sasson were all in attendance at the party.
They attended one party there. What makes him think any of these people, besides Kyle, are going to have any information about the potential illegal selling of this home? I'm confused. It just seems like a waste of time to drag out the lawsuit and make it as dramatic as possible, especially since Vanderpump isn't on speaking terms with anyone involved.
Mauricio filed a motion to dismiss denying any fraudulent activity and stating Teodoro had the home seized after the U.S. government found he purchased it with stolen funds from his home country Equatorial Guinea and believes it's only an attempt to reclaim the money he had to give back to the government. If he bought a house with stolen money, why isn't this guy in jail?
None of the Housewives have to testify just yet, but we'll definitely see how this cookie crumbles even if they don't want to include any of the tea on the actual show.
