Inside NeNe Leakes & Cynthia Bailey's Explosive Fight While Filming RHOA Season 12
This season ALREADY looks better.
Filming for The Real Housewives of Atlanta's twelfth season has been going on for a few months now, however, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey were only just caught by a fan having their long-waited sit-down, and just as usual, it looks dramatic as fuck. Now, we have the inside story behind the former bestie's explosive fight.
In case you've been living under a rock or just stopped watching last season out of sheer boredom, Kenya Moore showed up at the Lake Bailey owner's event after Cynthia had already told NeNe that Kenya would not be there. Long story short, NeNe lost her shit and accused Cynthia of lying, while 51 Cynt still proclaims she never knew Miss Twirl was coming.
A fan video shows NeNe and Cynthia raising their voices and throwing their hands into each other's face which is normal procedure for the reality stars.
Following the release of the footage, we finally know what transpired during their sit-down according to a Hollywood Life exclusive dishing all the dirt on what really happened when the costars decided to hash out their differences. The pair met at Bailey Wine Cellar a few weeks ago where they both wanted to have the conversation for their friendship. The source shared:
“The two ladies sat down to talk about everything that’s happened between them and things got tense as they talked. They talked about what happened in the past (their big fight last spring) and how to move forward in the future and if that’s possible and their feelings on everything as they both were clearly hurt. Kenya continues to be a common denominator still. It’s a sore spot for NeNe because she felt betrayed."
While NeNe is seen throwing her hands around in the video, Cynthia is calm and reserved which is a result of her engagement to Mike Hill a few months ago. The sources explained Miss Bailey is holding her ground with NeNe and isn't interested in fighting with the OG cast member, she allegedly wants a peaceful friendship or to move on completely:
“The conversation appeared tense at times and Cynthia seemed really unfazed by NeNe and she did her best to keep her cool. The story line will be covered heavily throughout season 12. Cynthia is so happy and in love, she’s just not interested in having any big kind of argument. Cynthia wants her relationship with NeNe to be peaceful or to just move on. She’s just all about resolution right now."
According to the source, NeNe is also not looking to fight because she has no time for bullshit while her husband battles his health. Um. Gregg had cancer last year and NeNe still found the time to fight with the entire cast, so NeNe definitely has some time for bullshit because if she didn't, she would listen to Elsa and let go of this petty feud. The explained:
"NeNe is also in a place where she wants no drama. After dealing with Gregg’s health, she sees things so differently now. He’s in remission and she just has no time for BS. But she sees things one way and Cynthia sees them another. When they sat down to chat, they really were trying to figure out how to move on from the past. Neither lady thinks things will ever be the same for their friendship, but they both seem to be trying since they both really did want to sit down and talk."
It's unknown where their friendship lies and whether or not they are over their drama, however, the source did tell the outlet both women handle conflict differently, which is the understatement of the century:
"NeNe handles conflict differently than Cynthia. They’re both outspoken, but NeNe got a little fired up when they talked while Cynthia just kept her cool a bit more. Deep down, those two still seem to have a lot of love for one another and will always wish each other well."
