The Real Housewives of Melbourne Season 5 Cast Revealed
These Aussies bitches are back!
After over two years of being off the air, The Real Housewives of Melbourne are finally returning to our screens for the fifth season everyone has been waiting for. Unlike the US franchises, Melbourne does things a little differently, as the producers always announce the cast to everyone in a press conference before they even begin filming.
For season 5 we'll see Gina Liano, Janet Roach, Lydia Schiavello and Gamble Breaux return, following the exits of OG Jackie Gilles, and one season wonders Sally Bloomfield and Venus Clark within the last week.
Joining the veteran ladies are three dynamic women who hopefully aren't afraid to use the C-word at the top of their lungs while in a public setting.
The first newcomer is Kyla Kirkpatrick, it's unknown if she already knows any of the other women on the cast, however, she is known as the “Champagne Dame” who owns her own luxury champagne business with her husband. Which means two things: she's rich and can get these women shit faced for any occasion.
The second new lady is Cherry Dipietrantonio, who is a yoga instructor originally from the UK with three kids. Ugh. This girl looks like fun but if she's drinking green juice instead of chugging down some pinot then her future on this show doesn't look great.
The last newbie being thrown into this lion's den is Anjali Rao. She's a news presenter who used to work for CNN and has been a huge name in the journalism business for 20 years. She currently appears on SBS. Anjali is also the only divorced new lady and has a 10-year-old son.
Like I said before, I have no idea if any of these women have preexisting connections to the cast, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. The Melbourne Housewives always manage to deliver every season, so hopefully, they keep up their bitchy ways this time around too.
The presenter did say there was already drama going down today behind the scenes, so fingers crossed.
Filming is expected to commence very soon with the show airing later in the year. Let's just hope Foxtel start producing this show consistently again and don't make us wait two more years after this for a season six.
