NeNe Leakes Lost $240K After Being Cut Out Of RHOA Episodes As Kenya Moore Claims The Network Wants
Cry me a river.
NeNe Leakes has barely been featured during this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and according to a new "source", she's claiming the producers cut her out on purpose. Uh, if you're not filming with the cast why would they include you in the episode? This isn't Life of Leakes, it's Atlanta Housewives...
According to Radar Online, a "close source to NeNe" revealed the Housewife was cut out of four episodes by the network during this season of the show. Although she was paid for the first two she missed, the Rich Bitch lost $240,000 this season after the exes left her scenes on the cutting room floor for two others. The source explained:
"NeNe says she feels like she is being targeted by the show producers and she was intentionally cut out of two episodes, losing $120,000 per episode."
Who in NeNe's camp leaked this tea to the press? Lisa Bloom?
The source went onto state that NeNe was not invited to BravoCon because they wanted Kenya Moore there and didn't want to risk the two getting in a fight. Wouldn't they want to put on a show for the Bravoholics paying to be there? The source is clearly close to NeNe's wig as they claimed the network hasn't been fair with its treatment of both the ladies, saying:
"Kenya gets away with murder time and time again and NeNe gets all of the criticism."
Although the source also stated that NeNe is frustrated and feels that the producers are "doing her "dirty" by leaving her out of episodes, they went onto claim that the network execs "do not want NeNe to leave, as she remains 'the driving factor in ratings' amid her three-year, $2.85 million contract." Seriously. Couldn't she have at least tried to make it seem like she didn't leak this shit?
NeNe recently took to Instagram to announce she had hired Lisa Bloom as her lawyer, who told the outlet when asked for comment:
"While our conversation is confidential, I encourage everyone to stand up for their rights."
NeNe's "close friend" Wendy Williams has basically become her defacto spokesperson in the last few months and claimed the reality star only hired Lisa Bloom as her attorney to deal with her other business ventures outside of Housewives. Can't NeNe tweet this out herself? Why do we need Wendy to tell us?
Prior to the Radar article, Entertainment Tonight caught up with Kenya Moore who spilled the tea on NeNe's multiple absences from the show this season and suggested the network is trying to phase her out of it. Keyonce explained:
"She tries so hard to tell people she's the HBIC. She's the this, she’s the that. She's the originator. 'Oh, the real premiere just starts…' And in fact, her presence now is not impactful at all. She's missed out on at least four to five episodes this season, so that clearly means the network is sending you a message. You're not as important as you think you are."
"The message is very clear: either the network feels that you are still a valuable asset on the show or they don't, and you're replaced and phased out, and you just have to move on. NeNe has been on the show for a very long time, and I just think the cast is not gelling with her. She always puts herself on an island. She makes these fights with people that don't actually have to occur and she's really the cause of her own demise."
Where's the lie? Everything Kenya said is a mother fucking fact. NeNe was the one who decided to feud with all her cast members and be the odd man out, so the only person she can blame for her position on the show, is herself.
Kenya also sounded off on NeNe's fast friendship with Wendy, claiming she's using the talk show host for good publicity and stated NeNe only calls Wendy in an upcoming episode to stay relevant and brag about being her friend. Kenya went off saying:
"I just think she's using Wendy, honestly. Because before [they were friends], Wendy would go in if she sees the type of behavior that anyone on our show was exhibiting before, and Wendy has been going, like, so soft on her. So, I just think that NeNe is really just using Wendy. [NeNe's phone call to Wendy is her] reaching for something to make her feel like she's more important than everyone else. Like, 'Oh, I have Wendy Williams on speed dial. I'm friends with Wendy Williams...' and I just think it's an attempt to be more relevant than anyone else on the show, and it's just like a failed attempt to me."
Again, where is the fucking lie? Kenya is serving fact after fact, which is why she's currently the star of the show. Who else are you tuning in for? Miss Twirl also called bullshit on Wendy claiming NeNe was going to quit the Housewives, saying the Rich Bitch would never walk away from her Bravo check because she has tonnes of bills to pay.
Check out Kenya's entire interview below because she spills tea, serves facts and talks a lot of shit.
Between the pay cut, the missing episodes, Lisa Bloom, Wendy Williams and the rumors of her quitting the show, NeNe has been in the press way too much for my liking in the last few weeks, and it doesn't bode well for her future on the show, but I guess we'll have to watch what happens.
