Jeff Lewis Reads His Texts With Andy Cohen Live On Radio
Does he want to get fired from the radio as well?
What is Jeff Lewis doing with himself? After he posted a photo of himself with phrases such as "you're 15 minutes is up," "better luck on radio, "thirsty" etc. with the caption "No going away party?" due to his Bravo contract expiring, he then took to his radio show to reveal the threatening texts his boss Andy Cohen had sent him as a result of having a dig at Bravo.
Jeff revealed Andy normally sends him "nasty, threatening" texts when he fucks up and nothing ever changes, so this time the WWHL host decided to change his strategy to be nicer which prompted Jeff to then read those nice texts on his radio show, which is owned by Andy. Nice is a very loose word:
“As you know, Andy Cohen has been known to lose his temper with me. After 11 years, we’ve been very much of a sibling type of a relationship. I normally would never read his texts on air — but the reason I would read this is that he has changed his strategy with me. Yesterday, I think when it happened, he thought, ‘I’m not getting through to him by screaming at him. I’m not getting through to him by writing nasty, threatening texts. I’m going to try a different strategy."
This is the verbatim text exchange below :
Andy: What did you want to achieve with this photo?
Jeff: It’s a joke. Didn’t mean anything by it.
Andy: Would it be funny to Bravo?
Jeff: I hope so.
Andy: I highly doubt it.
Jeff: I wasn’t going after them in any way. Just making fun of the situation.
Andy: Uh huh. Looks to me like you’re vilifying the network. They usually pick up shows after they finish their season. But maybe you want to let competitors know you are open for business, which you are definitely doing.
Jeff: I'm not vilifying the network but instead letting competitors know I’m a free agent. You’re a very smart guy. I’ll be at WE in no time. I really do like everybody at Bravo. It’s not personal.
Andy: You’re just pissing everyone there off again and making them think Bravo is cancelling the show, which doesn’t make them look good. If you’re doing it to work somewhere else, I get it.
Jeff: I’m always open to working with and for Bravo. There is no ill will from me.
At the end of the radio show Andy apparently texted Jeff in a rage after hearing him read their messages saying: ‘You’re an a—hole .Don’t ever read my texts on air again. You’re an a—hole.'” So I guess Jeff didn't get the memo about not reading his texts on air? Looks like neither strategy really works.
Andy has NO control over Jeff's Bravo career, however, he is his boss on Radio Andy.
